Edmodo Quizzes offer a variety of question types, making them flexible and applicable for a number of applications. It is easy to create a Quiz, then modify or assign it to your Classes.
In your class page, click the Create button located on the right side of the group information panel.
From the drop-down menu, select Quiz, and click New on the list that will appear.
In the assignment creation page, provide the Quiz Title and the Instructions your students will read before taking the quiz.
Select the Quiz Questions tab on the left side of the page to start adding questions.
Select the question type from the dropdown menu. Question type options include multiple-choice, multiple answers, true/false, short answer, fill in the blank, or matching.
Fill out the "Question Text" form box to add your question prompt.
Using the buttons below the Question Text, you can attach files or links to your question prompt. You can attach images, videos, MP3s, PDFs, links, and more file types from your Edmodo Library or your computer.
Add Response answer choices. The response types will vary depending on the question type.
For True/False and Multiple choice questions, change the radio button under Correct Answer to set the correct Response choice.
In the Grading section, change the points box to adjust the point value. By default, the point value is 1.
If you have similar questions, you can easily make a copy of an existing question by clicking Duplicate a question in the bottom right corner of the question. Edit the duplicated question accordingly.
Click Delete a Question in the bottom right corner of the question to remove a question.
You can add more questions using the Add New Question button at the bottom of your question list.
Rearrange question order by pointing your mouse over the six dots icon next to the question number, then click and drag the question up or down.
To insert a new question between two existing questions, hover over the horizontal line that separates two questions and click on the blue plus button that will appear.
You can also reuse questions from previous quizzes you've uploaded to Edmodo. Click the Add from question bank button, then select the question from the list you'd like to add and click Add to Quiz.
To view your Quiz as how a student will see it, click the Preview button at the top to preview your Quiz.
Click the Close button at the top to close the Quiz editor. Your Quiz will be automatically saved to your Edmodo Library. You can assign this Quiz from your Class page or your Library at any time.
Click the Menu or ··· icon to open a menu with options that allow you to Print, Make a Copy, or Delete your quiz.
Once done, click the Assign button.
In the pop-up menu that will appear, define to whom the quiz will be assigned. By default, it is assigned to the whole class to which the assignment was made. Click on the Assign To field to assign the assignment to specific users in the class, and even to other classes you manage. Note that quizzes assigned to individual students rather than a class or a small group and the submissions to these assignments will only be seen or accessed by you and not by co-teachers of your class.
Under Due on, set a deadline for taking the Quiz by selecting a date and setting a time.
Check the Lock after due date box to restrict students from taking the Quiz after the due date.
Set a Time Limit for your Quiz. After a student starts the Quiz, they must answer all questions before the allotted time has passed.
Check the box beside Randomize Questions to randomize the question order for each student who takes the Quiz.
Check the Add to Gradebook (Progress) box to include the students’ scores in the class/group Progress Book. Note that if you sent a Quiz to individual students instead of to a whole class/group, the results would not be added automatically to your Progress Book. You will have to find the Quiz results in your What's Due and then manually enter the scores into your Progress Book.
Check the Show results to students upon completion box to allow students to view their Quiz results after they submit their Quiz. When enabled, students will be able to see their score, individual questions results, as well as the correct answer for each question.
Click Schedule for later to select a date and time when the Quiz will be sent to the selected users. Make sure the time zone listed in your account settings is the same for all teachers and students. Scheduled assignments can be accessed by clicking View Full Calendar on the right side of the Class. Clicking on it will reveal a calendar with scheduled timeslots for deadlines.
